Enjoy a Night Out at These Nightlife Places in Park City
While outdoor activities dominate Park City during the day, the town offers a vibrant nightlife once the sun sets. Dance to live music, savor locally-made whiskey, or enjoy a drink at a historic saloon that's been serving patrons since the turn of the century. Park City’s nightlife provides a variety of exciting options for evening entertainment.
In today’s blog, we’ll be giving you the inside scoop on the best 5 nightlife spots in Park City.
Pay a Visit to the Historic and Happening No Name Saloon
Park City’s Main Street almost feels like it’s frozen in time, and nowhere is that more obvious than at the legendary No Name Saloon. Not only was this historic bar the first of its kind to be established in the state, but it’s also well-deserving of its reputation at the number one spot to party in all of Park City since 1959.
Spend some time in each of the four spaces that No Name Saloon provides, such as the Western feel of the Main Bar, the party vibes of The Loft, the relaxing and mellow Mezzanine, or the gorgeous and happening Rooftop Patio that has some of the best mountain and Main Street views in town. Plus, if all of this drinking has made you hungry, Annex Burger is located right next door for a family-friendly meal.
Go Underground at Downstairs
Mountain towns aren’t typically known to have the best nightclubs, but if you’re searching for that traditional nightlife experience while you’re in Park City, you’ll find just what you’re looking for at Downstairs.
With amenities such as DJs, private tables, and bottle service, this is one of the only places in town where you can party the night away like you would in any other major city, but with the added bonus of enjoying the company of people from all over the world who flock to Park City for vacation. For those who are celebrating birthdays, bachelor or bachelorette parties, or other special occasions, Downstairs is perfect for a night on the town.
Try Some Utah-Made Whiskey at High West Saloon
While Utah’s drinking laws may be a little stricter than other states, that doesn’t mean that whiskey and spirit connoisseurs will have no options when they visit Park City. Case in point: the High West Distillery’s Saloon, located on Park Avenue in a historic livery stable built around the turn of the century. This gorgeous saloon will bring you back in time, and their whiskey is nothing to scoff at either.
High West Distillery was one of the first distilleries in the entire state, and today, it produces some of the best bourbon, rye, and single-malt whiskey in the country. While you’re visiting the saloon, be sure to try out their gold medal award-winning High West Bourbon, which features notes of caramel and vanilla with a strong and smooth finish. The silver-medalist Double Rye is a punchier choice, with notes of mint, clove, and cinnamon that lead to a bold taste and finish.
See a Live Show at the Egyptian Theater
If nightclubs and bars aren’t really your thing but you’d like to enjoy a night on the town in Park City, check out the musical performances and plays at the spot known as the Mary G. Steiner Egyptian Theater. Its original designs were supervised by an Egyptologist and built in 1926 to replace an old theater that had collapsed under a huge load of snow, and today, the Egyptian Theater stands as Park City’s best-known entertainment venue since its inception nearly 100 years ago.
During the Sundance Film Festival, many films are screened in this very room, but during the rest of the year, you’ll find amazing live music and plenty of other entertainment to keep you occupied. With musicians and acts from just about every genre under the sun and a gorgeously-designed exterior and interior that will leave you speechless, there’s no reason to miss out on a visit to this historic venue.
Enjoy Live Music at The Spur
Are local spirits and live music right up your alley? If so, check out The Spur Bar and Grill, located right on Main Street. Their motto is “Lunch, Dinner, Drinks, and Dancing” and for good reason–The Spur hosts live musical performances nearly every night of the week, along with their delicious menu of food and drinks.
Plus, try out their house brand of whiskey, Spur Whiskey, for a tasty drink only found in Park City. All of their cocktails utilize local spirits as well, highlighting the flavors of Utah and Park City. When you’re not sure what to do for a night out, take a trip over to The Spur for a great time.
