While the trail is not maintained during the wintertime, it’s easy enough to access this spot during most times of the year since there’s minimal elevation gain.

Located off of Swan Mountain Road about 15 minutes north of Breck, the Sapphire Point Trail is a short but sweet hike (only 0.6 miles long) that’ll give you access to incredible views of the Tenmile Range as well as the gorgeous waters of Dillon Reservoir.
Visitors who are coming during the winter months might find this trail a bit too snow- and ice-packed for their liking, but if you’re not against snowshoeing and cross country skiing to get in some incredible shots, you won’t find better views anywhere else.
