This schedule covers all the must-do activities and fun, ensuring you make the most of even a short trip to the mountains.

Whether you're just looking for some ideas to create the perfect holiday for your family or you end up following this exact itinerary, our ideal 3-day weekend schedule in Breckenridge is packed with fun activities to fill your time to the brim while you’re taking in the pure mountain air.

Day 1: Winter Activities at Breckenridge Resort

8am: For your first day in Breck, we hope you got a good night’s sleep because you’ll be starting off early to get in more time on the slopes. For breakfast, we recommend checking out the Columbine Cafe, one of the best breakfast spots in town, to get in all the energy you need for a long day on the mountain. Their American diner fare is the perfect pick-me-up–be sure to try the Denver Omelette for a filling breakfast bite.

10am: It’s time to hit the slopes! Hop on the BreckConnect Gondola for a short (and beautiful) ride up the mountain. If you’re a newbie to skiing or snowboarding, we highly recommend scheduling a lesson to help you get on your feet and start gliding down the mountain with ease.

2pm: After a few hours of skiing or boarding, we know you’ll be hankering for something delicious to eat. To warm your bones, head over to Soupz On, a favorite of Breckenridge locals and visitors alike.

3pm: With a few hours on the mountain under your belt and a delicious lunch in your belly, take a walk down the streets of downtown Breckenridge to unwind and prepare for a hearty dinner.

5pm: It’s time for dinner, and we highly recommend stopping at Aurum Food and Wine for a delicious dining experience. Drink some wine and enjoy a selection of delectable contemporary eats to end your day on the right note.

Day 2: Arts and History in Downtown Breckenridge

10am: After a relaxing morning at your lodging, head out for a European-inspired breakfast at La Francaise French Bakery. Be sure to try some of their tasty baked goods for a breakfast you’ll remember forever.

12pm: For your first artsy spot of the day, head over to the Steven C. West Ice Arena. From there, it’s just a quick 15-minute hike to see one of Breck’s local landmarks: Isak Heartstone, created by Danish artist Thomas Jambo.

1pm: For lunch, imbibe upon a selection of 16 different beers at The Canteen, a pub-style restaurant that offers burgers and other pub fare. If you’re a fan of day-drinking, we highly recommend trying out their signature Canteen Cup Cocktails.

2pm: After lunch, it’s time to stop at the Breckenridge Arts District to enjoy even more art. This spot is home to a handful of studios, galleries, and performance spaces for all to enjoy.

5pm: Once you’re done enjoying the artsy flavor of downtown Breck, it’ll be just around dinner time. For your second day in town, check out Ember, which features both international and American-style dishes that are second to none.

Day 3: Relax and Unwind

10am: Since you’ve spent the last few days running around Breck and enjoying all the wintertime activities at your disposal, today it’s time to unwind. For breakfast, grab a quick cup of Turtle Coffee at Cabin Coffee Co. to start your day off right.

12pm: After a delicious cup of coffee, it’s time to relax and unwind at The Spa at Breckenridge. Nestled just below the 4 O’Clock Lift in the gorgeous Blue Sky Building, you’ll enjoy a great massage surrounded by art made by Breckenridge locals.

2pm: For lunch on your last day in town, check out Empire Burger, which serves tasty burgers and other traditional American offerings. Be sure to try one of their 20 homemade dipping sauces–reviewers rave about the sweet mango chutney.

4pm: Once your spa day and lunch are done, it’s a good idea to go for a relaxing drive down the Boreas Pass. This 22-mile scenic road stretches from Breck to Como, a charming little mountain town that’s full of history to learn about, and the drive there and back will take you about two hours to complete.

6pm: For dinner on your last day in town, we recommend stopping in at Hearthstone Restaurant, located within a historic building on South Ridge Street. Serving contemporary American cuisine, this spot is one of the best in Breck for a quality dinner experience.
